For international visionary, Braemore Lundall-Sauls, fashion has never been defined by simply placing garments onto a body. Instead, his work focuses entirely on the intersection of human emotion, community collaboration, and dramatic performance. This October, that philosophy will come alive on an unprecedented scale as Braemore Design presents its highly anticipated fourth installment of the runway series, Luce Della Moda 2026: ECLIPSE.

The name of the production itself holds deep significance. Meaning "the light of fashion" in Italian, Luce della Moda serves as the official banner for the designer's spectacular runway showcases. First launching with an intimate setting at the Atheneum, the concept has progressively expanded into a collaborative masterclass. Returning after a three-year hiatus, the 2026 edition promises to elevate prior narratives into a far more complex and dramatic sensory experience.

“It is a collaborative platform of creators that is going to end up giving you a singular Cirque du Soleil kind of vibe and feel and moment,” Braemore shared during an exclusive conversation.

A Massive Interactive Spectacle

Staged inside the expansive Boardwalk ICC on Saturday, 10 October 2026, the sheer logistics of ECLIPSE defy the conventions of traditional style exhibitions. The production plans to put 100 models on a massive, interactive ramp stretching over 80 metres long. Rather than standard catwalk presentation formats, the evening features an entirely continuous production structure without any intervals.

The performance elements will blend live musical showcases with physical arts. Aerialists from Artemis Aerial Arts will suspend from the ceilings, moving alongside fluid classical ballet and modern dance choreography. Renowned vocal talents Tash Adams and Micayla Lee are scheduled to perform directly on the physical runway, providing a live pavement-like backdrop as models pass them at an accelerated tempo.

Adding to the theatrical chaos, the runway will physically integrate autonomous vehicle technology. Major sponsor Kelston Motor Group has provided automotive brands to feature directly inside the show space, including an advanced self-driving model scheduled to execute an interactive sequence.

The Experiential Journey

For attendees, the production begins long before the main runway lights go up. Doors will open for an extended arrival journey starting at 17:00, despite tickets indicating an 18:00 start time, explicitly to give guests space to interact and socialise.

Upon entering the Boardwalk precinct, guests will be greeted by the sounds of a grand piano. Moving past the entry doors into the main foyer, live vocal duets will accompany incoming crowds. Major event sponsors Vinimark (featuring Spier Wine Farm) have stepped on board to provide welcome drinks, complemented by curated snacks served in an adjacent room.

Backstage Artistry and Community Integration

The scale of ECLIPSE extends directly behind the curtains, functioning as a major platform for local beauty professionals and creators. The massive backstage operation will feature collaborative artistry installations from several distinguished businesses, including Bliss Hair & Skin Care, Serenity Hair PE, Lavish Hair Studio, and Images 1 Hair Salon.

True to the designer's focus on team-building and inclusive spaces, the event is also operating as a mentorship pipeline. A group of learners from schools have been invited to shadow professionals across the fields of photography, beauty, and fashion design. Dressed in custom event t-shirts, these youth will actively assist backstage and alongside media teams, receiving direct real-world instruction from industry mentors.

To capture every angle of the sprawling production, a large contingent of independent media professionals will document the evening. The official photography and videography teams include recognized local names such as Ridwaan Photography, Africuz Photography - Khurshid Samarqandiy, Captured Light Photography - Glen Wray, and more.

A Collective Vision

“It (Luce Della Moda) started out as a me project but it's now a we project,” Braemore noted. While the runway series originated as an individual creative outlet, Braemore emphasizes that the 2026 iteration has completely shifted into a communal effort. Behind the scenes, the intense administrative and marketing coordination is managed entirely by his husband, Denzil, allowing the designer to focus purely on the structural creation of the collection.

With major corporate support from the likes of Woolworths, KellyGirl Skills Academy, Wilma Langson & Associates, Abacus Accounting & Tax Professionals, and official major sponsor Bay FM 107.9, the production highlights a community rallying to support its own creative industry.
