PUMA and Ahluwalia Honour African Football Culture
PUMA and Ahluwalia have joined forces once again to deliver a vibrant tribute to African football culture through their latest collaborative collection.

Priya Ahluwalia, the London-based designer behind the award-winning brand Ahluwalia, reunites with PUMA for their second collaborative collection in 2026. This drop serves as a vibrant love letter to the passion, street style, and community spirit that define African football ahead of the World Cup. Ahluwalia, who draws deeply from her Indian-Nigerian heritage and British upbringing, infuses the partnership with personal resonance while honoring the collectivism and energy of fan cultures in places such as Morocco and Nigeria.

The collection reworks iconic PUMA silhouettes with thoughtful details that blend athletic heritage and cultural expression. At its center stands the PUMA VS-1 sneaker, a streamlined laceless design inspired by the brand’s early-2000s velocity boots. It appears in two distinct colorways: a vibrant pan-African palette featuring red, yellow, black, and green, and a more understated grey and black edition.
Apparel highlights include a reworked T7 tracksuit with custom all-over prints evoking stadium energy, a textured knit T7 top and matching skirt in rich green tones nodding to the Nigerian flag, a graphic gradient polo, a textured black baseball cap with a subtle Ahluwalia badge, and a premium Micro Grip bag featuring signature wave patterns.

Sustainability remains central to the collaboration, with many pieces crafted from recycled fibers through close work with PUMA’s development team. The designs merge Ahluwalia’s signature tailoring techniques and patchwork influences with PUMA’s archival football references, creating garments that feel equally at home on the terrace or in everyday street settings. A narrative short film and campaign, shot against the sun-bleached walls and sand-dusted streets of Morocco, further capture football as a universal unifier that builds community across borders.

This marks the latest chapter in an evolving partnership that began with Ahluwalia reimagining the PUMA Speedcat and Suede silhouettes. The 2026 collection arrives at a pivotal moment, as PUMA outfits several African national teams for the World Cup, amplifying the cultural dialogue.
Through this collaboration, Priya Ahluwalia and PUMA demonstrate how fashion can honor heritage while pushing creative boundaries. The result feels both celebratory and deeply personal, transforming sportswear into a platform for storytelling, pride, and connection in a way that resonates far beyond the pitch.
